Carlee is a retired Stripper, full time Personal Trainer and Kettlebell fanatic currently living in Portland, OR.

Carlee’s first experience with organized physical fitness was with Martial Arts. She received her black belt in Tae Kwon Do at just twelve years old.

In 2012 she started her career as a stripper. Dancing was a teacher in movement as a form of self expression and connection. Both sports taught her athleticism and gave her the same sense of strength and power. Her last stage set will be 11/11/23 after nearly twelve years in the industry.

In 2017 she took her first trip to Costa Rica on a solo backpacking trip. There she completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. Yoga as the “undoing” is a philosophy her teacher passed down to her. Carlee believes, in a world that is so constantly go go go, it is necessary to slow down and undo.

In 2018, after one year she left the big box gym scene and created Carlee Fit.

Strong First is a guiding light on Carlee’s continuous education journey. They are seen as one of the most scientifically backed organizations for their result driven programs in barbell, kettlebell & body weight training. She has her Strong First Lifters (SFL-1) barbell certification, Strong First Girya (SFG-1 & 2) kettlebell certifications, with plans to complete the body weight certification in 2024 and become an Elite Strong First trainer.

Kettlebells are more than an exercise modality to Carlee - they are an art.

“The squat, deadlift, press & row are the staples that bring strength & order. Then comes the swing, clean & snatch that bring flow, focus & a finesse. Then the Turkish get up and others like the arm bar & windmill bring a level of self awareness with proprioception, stability & mobility. They all go hand in hand, each leaving up the next. They’ve given me a clear path and are always pushing me to get better. There’s always room to improve & progress + they’re fun and you feel like a bad ass doing them!

→ My training style…

  • “Power Building” - the best of powerlifting & bodybuilding ~ prioritizing the compound lifts (squat, deadlift, bench, overhead press, bent over row) while using other modalities such as kettlebells, dumbbells & bands for stability, endurance & toning

  • “Functional Fitness” for clients whose goals are more for Health / Wellness overall I offer Intuitive Training sessions where we can focus on a single goal such as tight shoulders, tight hip flexors or a weakened core

Her goal is to have you doing all it is you enjoy with confidence! Feeling excited about coming into the gym and spending this time on yourself.

She offers Online Training, In-person and holds a small group class every Thursday!
